Why Çakırtepe Hospital?
Anesthesia
Anesthesiologists and surgeons share joint responsibility in the perioperative process. While the surgeon performs the surgical procedure, the anesthesiologist is responsible for preoperative risk assessment, protection of vital functions during surgery, and postoperative monitoring.
Through this evaluation, the planning, scope, and quality of the surgical process are safely prepared. The medical evaluation of the patient preoperatively significantly reduces the risk of postponement or cancellation of surgeries due to inadequate assessments. Patient safety is always the priority.
The legal information and consent process regarding anesthesia are also carried out during this meeting. These meetings are held before planned surgeries in order to give our patients sufficient time to think after the information.
Anesthesiology
All modern anesthesia methods are applied at Çakırtepe Hospital. Anesthesia planning is made together with the patient, taking into account their individual needs and concerns. In the anesthesia unit, a personalized anesthesia technique suitable for the surgical method is determined.

Intensive Care

Patient Blood Management (PBM)
Patient Blood Management (PBM) is a medical treatment approach aimed at increasing patient safety. The goal is to strengthen the patient's own blood reserves and reduce the use of blood and blood products as much as possible. PBM consists of three main application areas based on international standards and scientific data.
- 1. Possible anemia conditions before surgery are corrected with vitamin and/or iron treatment. Blood-thinning drugs are regulated in line with the evaluation of our anesthesiologists.
- 2. Various precautions are taken to reduce blood loss during surgery. Such as taking less blood, choosing appropriate surgical techniques.
- 3. Blood products are used consciously and in a controlled manner after surgery. Lower blood values within safe limits are acceptable.
