Our Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine Department carries out the emergency health services of our hospital and ensures the coordination of pre-hospital emergency medical interventions. Perioperative Medicine
Perioperative medicine services at Çakırtepe Hospital cover the medical follow-up of patients before, during, and after surgery in accordance with current scientific guidelines. Our anesthesiology and intensive care specialists take an active role in acute pain management and perioperative blood and coagulation management, in addition to their duties in operating rooms and intensive care units.
Intensive Care

Patient Blood Management (PBM)
Patient Blood Management (PBM) is a medical treatment approach aimed at increasing patient safety. The goal is to strengthen the patient's own blood reserves and reduce the use of blood and blood products as much as possible. PBM consists of three main application areas based on international standards and scientific data.
Three-Pillar Model
- 1. Possible anemia conditions before surgery are corrected with vitamin and/or iron treatment. Blood-thinning drugs are regulated in line with the evaluation of our anesthesiologists.
- 2. Various precautions are taken to reduce blood loss during surgery. Such as taking less blood, choosing appropriate surgical techniques.
- 3. Blood products are used consciously and in a controlled manner after surgery. Lower blood values within safe limits are acceptable.
