Global Vision in Health Tourism: Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital in Frankfurt

We took our place at the International Health Tourism Fair organized by ALZ Fair in Frankfurt, Germany. During the event, our Chairman of the Board, Mr. Mehmet Ali Durak, gave an exclusive interview to the international media organization TR Business, sharing our hospital's vision and goals in health tourism.

With our intensive health tourism efforts over the last four years, we are opening our 18 years of deep-rooted experience to the world. As Mr. Durak emphasized in the interview; we offer a healing process integrated with the unique nature of Ordu, far away from traffic and city chaos.

Why Us?

  • Logistical Advantage: We are located at a strategic point between two airports, making transportation extremely easy.
  • Quality & Cost Balance: We offer world-class healthcare services available in metropolitan cities at much more affordable costs.
  • Trust & Technology: We provide general hospital status services in all main branches, except cardiovascular surgery, with our competent medical staff and technological infrastructure.

Our international patients and expatriate citizens can safely benefit from our services through our contracted institutions or with invoice-based reimbursement options.

We will continue to represent our country and our region in the international arena.

Chief Physician Dr. Ali Coşkun explains the service approach maintained since the establishment of Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital, its quality-oriented working principles, and the hospital's future development goals. He shares his assessments on sustainable improvement in healthcare services, patient-employee satisfaction, and regional-international service vision.

Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital, which started providing healthcare services in November 2009, adopts a quality-oriented approach in accurately diagnosing diseases, managing differential diagnosis processes, patient care, treatment services, and laboratory applications by utilizing the opportunities offered by technology in our region. Our goal is to provide all these services at affordable costs accessible to all segments of society and with an understanding of sustainable quality.

Our hospital operates with a management philosophy that aims for continuous improvement rather than just maintaining the current service level, and values patient and employee satisfaction. Creating a healthcare service model that supports our patient-oriented approach with the cooperation and solidarity culture of our employees is among our main priorities.

Our primary goal is to sustain our existence as an institution capable of providing services not only locally and regionally but also internationally, thanks to our Health Tourism Authorization Certificate.

We aim to provide a holistic experience to our patients by structuring our medical services in harmony with accommodation and support services.

In this direction, we will continue to develop our technological infrastructure and physical capacity. Our fundamental goal is for Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital to maintain its presence as an institution providing qualified healthcare services nationally and internationally.

One of the most important milestones of the past year was the increase in testing capacity at the Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital Biochemistry Laboratory.

While maintaining existing services in our biochemistry laboratory, test diversity and capacity were significantly increased through technological renewals. Advanced biochemistry tests, including allergy panel tests, food intolerance tests, comprehensive blood tests, hormone analyses, tumor markers, urine and stool tests, sperm myograms, and sperm washing procedures, can now be performed much faster, accurately, and with high reliability.

These developments accelerate the diagnostic processes for our doctors, strengthen inter-clinic collaboration, and ensure our patients receive reliable results in a shorter time.

2025 - New Openings and Highlights

Important events and developments that took place in our hospital over the past year.

1 August: Accepting Students from Poland under the Erasmus Program

August: Accepting Students from Poland under the Erasmus Program

We strengthened our international educational cooperation by hosting five medical students from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń for two months.

We strengthened our international educational cooperation by hosting five medical students from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń for two months.

Within the scope of the Erasmus student exchange program, 3rd-year students of the Medicine (Medical Analysis) Department from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland—Aleksandra Kopa, Karolina Korczak, Malwina Kotula, Martyna Lysikowska, and Wiktoria Kalbarczyk—were hosted at Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital for a two-month training and observation period.

During this period, the students gained comprehensive experience by actively participating in the biochemistry laboratory, microbiology unit, imaging center, clinical observation areas, and technical laboratory applications. Having the opportunity to work alongside the expert physicians and healthcare staff of our hospital, the students closely observed healthcare delivery in Turkey and made significant contributions to their own professional development.

At the end of the program, our Chairman of the Board, Mehmet Ali Durak, and our Chief Physician, Dr. Ali Coşkun, presented certificates of appreciation to our students and congratulated them for their dedication and successful work.

This international educational collaboration concluded as a highly productive and meaningful experience for both the students and our institution.

2 September: Strengthening Interdisciplinary Collaboration

September: Strengthening Interdisciplinary Collaboration

We have structured multidisciplinary evaluation meetings that bring together different medical branches for more effective management of complex cases.

We have structured multidisciplinary evaluation meetings that bring together different medical branches for more effective management of complex cases.

Throughout September, interdisciplinary collaboration processes were restructured at Private Ünye Çakırtepe Hospital. Multidisciplinary case evaluation meetings, formed with the participation of gynecology and obstetrics, internal medicine, pediatrics, urology, cardiology, and orthopedics units, allowed complex and multifaceted clinical pictures to be addressed with a shared expert perspective.

Thanks to these meetings, treatment plans for our patients are prepared with a more comprehensive perspective, while information sharing and coordination among our clinical teams have been significantly strengthened. It has been observed that an interdisciplinary approach increases treatment success, especially in chronic diseases, rare cases, and situations involving multiple branches.

While contributing to raising the quality standard maintained in our hospital, this new structure has also elevated the communication between clinical teams to a more systematic and efficient level.

3 October: Opening of the New Exercise and Rehabilitation Area

October: Opening of the New Exercise and Rehabilitation Area

We strengthened our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center with modern equipment, offering our patients a broader treatment and recovery area.

We strengthened our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center with modern equipment, offering our patients a broader treatment and recovery area.

As part of the innovations made in our Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center in October, a new exercise and rehabilitation area equipped with advanced equipment was put into service. Designed to support both the post-surgical recovery process and to create personalized programs for sports health, this area offers a wide range of applications that accelerate both physical and functional recovery.

In the new area, a more holistic rehabilitation approach was created by bringing together balance and coordination equipment, strengthening systems, devices for flexibility and mobility, and manual therapy areas. By providing the range of motion and equipment diversity needed during the treatment processes, the effective application of personalized programs was made possible for our patients.

This expanded infrastructure has increased the working efficiency of our physical therapy team and made the treatment experience of our patients more comfortable and effective. This investment has significantly strengthened the scope and quality of our hospital's rehabilitation services.
