Skin Peeling and Blemish Treatment
It depends on the depth of the acid used. In "Superficial (Light) Peeling", only brightening occurs, there is no visible skin peeling. However, in "Medium/Deep (TCA)" peelings applied for sun spots or deep acne scars, your skin will crust and peel off in flakes 2-3 days after the procedure, like shedding snake skin.
Absolutely not! This is the biggest mistake. If you pluck off the pieces of skin that are peeling (hanging from the edge) with your hands, you will forcefully expose the still immature fresh skin underneath, and this will cause permanent dark brown spots (pigmentation) to form on your face. The skin must fall off on its own in the shower.
Since chemical peeling procedures (except for very superficial fruit acids) shed the upper skin, which is the skin's greatest shield, they make the skin 100 times more sensitive to the sun. Because exposure to the sun after the procedure will cause spots, peeling procedures must definitely be done in the autumn and winter months.
