Acupuncture Therapy

About the Treatment Method

Acupuncture is a complementary treatment method dating back thousands of years to Traditional Chinese Medicine; it is applied by inserting special, hair-thin sterile needles into specific "acupuncture points" on the body to balance the energy (Qi) flow, stimulate the autonomic nervous system, and activate the body's self-healing mechanisms. Today, it is also approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the treatment of many diseases.

Mechanism of Action and Sessions

The effects of acupuncture needles on the body and the treatment process.
Does it hurt when the needles are inserted?

The needles used are not hollow and thick like sewing needles or syringe needles; they are extremely flexible needles as thin as a hair. As the needle penetrates the skin, there is a very slight mosquito bite sensation, but no pain or ache is felt during the procedure. On the contrary, a state of serious relaxation and relief occurs.

Which diseases is it effective in treating?

It provides highly successful results in migraines and chronic headaches, lumbar and cervical hernia pain, fibromyalgia, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, support for IVF treatment (to reduce stress), and most commonly, to suppress appetite in smoking cessation and obesity (weight loss) diets.

How many sessions does the treatment take?

The treatment plan varies depending on the patient's complaint and its chronicity. Generally, a course of 8 to 12 sessions is planned, applied 1 or 2 times a week. Each session takes approximately 30-45 minutes, including the patient's resting time with the needles.
