About the Treatment Method
Surgical Process and Patient Care
This is one of the most common misconceptions. The tonsils are just one of the body's defense organs, and a chronically inflamed (decayed) tonsil has now become a focus that constantly produces bacteria (a harmful organ) instead of protecting the body. When removed, other immune tissues take over the duty, and the person's resistance does not decrease; on the contrary, it increases because the state of constant illness has ended.
It is the latest technology device used today instead of cutting the tonsils with a scalpel. While the tissue is being cut, the capillaries are sealed (welded) with heat at the same time. Thanks to this method, the risk of bleeding during and after the surgery drops to almost zero, and recovery is faster.
In the first days, pureed, warm, or cold foods (classically ice cream, cold milk, yogurt, pudding) should be consumed so that the throat tissue can heal and not bleed. Acidic (orange juice), bitter, spicy, hot, and hard (crackers, chips) foods must be strictly avoided for 10-14 days.
