CPAP Machine Treatment

About the Treatment Method

CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) treatment is the gold standard and most effective treatment worldwide for Sleep Apnea (cessation of breathing) disease, which occurs when throat muscles relax and block the airway during sleep. Continuous and slightly pressurized air coming from a silent compressor is delivered through a special mask that the patient wears over their face or nose while sleeping. This airflow prevents the throat from closing, ensuring the patient breathes uninterruptedly throughout the night.

Machine Usage and Adaptation

The effects of the sleep apnea machine on the patient's life.
Does the machine completely eradicate the disease?

The CPAP machine is like glasses; as long as you wear it, you see 100% clearly (it instantly stops apnea and snoring), but when you take it off, the problem continues. Unless anatomical surgery is performed, the device does not radically cure the disease, but it resets all risks and complaints.

Is it difficult to sleep with the machine?

Sleeping with a mask on the face may feel foreign to patients for the first few nights. However, when that morning fatigue and headaches that have lasted for years due to a lack of oxygen are stopped dead in their tracks the next morning thanks to CPAP, the vast majority of patients quickly adapt to the device, saying, "I wish I had started earlier."

Which mask is suitable for me?

Mask selection is vital for sleep comfort. A "Full Face Mask" encompassing the mouth and nose for those who sleep with their mouths open, a "Nasal Mask" for those who only breathe through their nose, or minimal "Nasal Pillows" entering the nostrils are chosen with the guidance of your doctor and technician.
