Dermapen

About the Treatment Method

Dermapen (Microneedling) is a skin resurfacing treatment performed with a pen-like device that has numerous sterile microneedles at its tip and goes in and out of the skin hundreds of times a second. By creating microscopic damages in the skin, it triggers the body's natural wound healing process; in this way, the skin rapidly produces new collagen and elastin. It is a highly popular and effective non-surgical aesthetic method in the treatment of fine wrinkles, enlarged pores, acne scars, and skin stretch marks.

Application and Session Processes

How the Dermapen procedure is done and what the patient should know.
Is the Dermapen procedure painful?

Special creams with a local anesthetic effect are applied to the face about half an hour before the procedure. Thanks to this, pain is minimized during the needling process, and usually, only a slight stinging or vibration is felt.

Can it be performed together with PRP or mesotherapy?

Yes, this is the greatest strength of Dermapen. Thanks to the thousands of micro-channels opened, the skin rapidly absorbs hyaluronic acid, vitamins, or PRP serums obtained from the patient's own blood applied to it into much deeper layers. When used together, the effect increases exponentially.

How many sessions are required and what is the aftermath like?

Depending on the needs of the skin, 4 to 6 sessions are generally recommended at intervals of 3-4 weeks. After the procedure is over, intense redness resembling a sunburn occurs on the face. This redness largely subsides the next day and disappears completely within 2-3 days.
