Gynecomastia Surgery and Techniques
If the cause of the enlargement is only excessive fat accumulation (Pseudogynecomastia / Lipomastia), it is sufficient to simply melt and extract the fat with laser or Vaser Liposuction. However, if a hard "mammary gland tissue (glandular tissue)" has formed under the breast, since this tissue cannot be extracted with a vacuum, it is mandatory to surgically remove (excise) it by making a small incision around the nipple.
Liposuction holes are a few millimeters and completely disappear over time. If gland tissue is to be removed, an incision is made exactly on the junction line (half-moon) of the colored part of the nipple and the normal skin. When the stitches heal, they disappear on this color transition line and are not noticeable from the outside.
Since the main mammary gland tissue causing the enlargement and excess fat cells are completely removed during the operation, the result is generally permanent for life. Unless there is excessive weight gain or the use of hormone-containing steroid/bodybuilding drugs, the problem will not recur.
