About the Treatment Method
Holistic and Manual Treatment Approach
Standard massage only relaxes muscles. Physical therapy tries to eliminate the symptom (edema, hernia) in the painful area with devices. Osteopathy, on the other hand, says, "The cause of your aching back could be your ankle, which was sprained months ago, disrupting your gait, or the fascia tension created by a previous abdominal surgery"; it manually examines fascial tissues, the rhythm of the skull bones (craniosacral), and the mobility of internal organs (visceral), and solves that chain.
It is extremely gentle and effective in chronic lower back, neck, and upper back pains that do not go away and the cause of which cannot be found in examinations, migraines and tension-type headaches, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, fibromyalgia, and even sleep disorders, gas pains (colic), and head asymmetry problems seen in babies.
Not everyone who attends osteopathy courses can become an osteopath. According to regulations in Turkey and the world, this procedure can only be applied by licensed specialists who have completed a 4-year medical degree or graduated from university Physiotherapy (Physical Therapy) departments, and have subsequently received an extensive, anatomy-intensive "Osteopathy" master's/specialization training lasting at least another 4-5 years.
