About the Treatment Method
Robotic technology in cardiovascular surgery (Da Vinci System) is the highest level "Minimally Invasive" open heart surgery performed by robotic arms reaching the heart through only 3-4 millimetric (the size of a pen tip) holes opened on the right or left side of the rib cage, without the need to cut the breastbone (sternum) from end to end with an electric saw.

What is the patient's gain compared to open surgery?
While it takes 2-3 months for the breastbone cut in open surgery to heal; because no bones are cut in robotic surgery, the patient walks out of the hospital just 3-4 days after the surgery. They can sleep on their side, drive a car, and easily return to even their heavy physical jobs within weeks. The risk of bleeding and infection is close to zero.
