About the Treatment Method
Aesthetic and Flawless Valve Repair
The valves are very deep in the chambers of the heart. Even with open surgery, it is very difficult to reach there and make millimetric stitches. The robotic camera virtually puts the surgeon "inside" the heart. The robotic arms maximize the chance of "REPAIRING the valve instead of replacing it" by putting stitches on the tiny chords (strings) of the valve even at the narrowest angles without shaking. The heart stays with its original valve.
Because the surgical trauma is close to zero, patients usually stay in intensive care for only 1 day and are discharged from the hospital within a total of 4-5 days. Because there is no concern about bone healing, they can comfortably start activities such as driving a car or carrying a backpack within 2 weeks.
