Vaginal Laser Therapy

About the Treatment Method

Vaginal laser applications (Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation) is a painless outpatient procedure in which controlled thermal (heat) energy is sent into the vagina with special probes (Fractional CO2 or Erbium YAG laser) without making a surgical incision to the vaginal tissue, thereby triggering collagen and elastin production in the region. It is highly effective in the treatment of mild vaginal laxity, menopause-related vaginal dryness, atrophy (tissue thinning), painful sexual intercourse (dyspareunia), and mild urinary incontinence (stress incontinence).

Non-Surgical Vaginal Rejuvenation

The regenerative effect of laser technology on vaginal tissue.
Does the procedure hurt, is anesthesia required?

The biggest advantage of the procedure is that it is completely painless. Pain sensation on the inner wall of the vagina is quite weak. When the special probe is placed and laser shots are fired, the patient only feels a slight heat inside. It is a procedure that can be done even during a lunch break in 15-20 minutes without the need for anesthesia, needles, or numbing cream.

How does it help vaginal dryness and menopause complaints?

Because estrogen decreases during menopause, the vaginal wall becomes thinner, dry, cracks, and sexual intercourse becomes a torment. The laser beam creates heat damage deep within the tissue, causing the body to send new blood vessels and collagen there. The vaginal tissue thickens and begins to produce its own natural moisture (lubrication) again.

What is the aftermath process, how is the return to daily life?

Seconds after getting up from the procedure, you can return to your completely normal life (work, shopping); there is no walking restriction. Because there is no surgical incision, there is no bleeding or stitch stress. You are only asked to abstain from sexual intercourse for generally 1 week (7 days) after the procedure for the tissues' stimulation (healing) process.
