General Information About the Technology
Early Detection in the Digestive System
The device features an LED/Xenon light source coupled with a special Narrow Band Imaging (similar to VIST/NBI) filter system. Fine vascular changes or suspicious cancer cells that blend in with the tissue's own color under white light instantly stand out and glow thanks to this specially filtered blue-green light.
It is not just a camera; it is also like a surgeon's hand, thanks to the clinical channels it houses. With micro-hand instruments advanced through the system, biopsies can be taken from tumors, polyps found in the colon or stomach can be lassoed and removed (polypectomy), or stomach bleeding can be immediately intervened upon.
Because Sonoscape devices have a flexible and lightweight hose structure, they can navigate around organ folds without harming the patient. Since the procedure is performed with modern anesthesia methods (light sedation), patients do not remember the procedure, which takes 10-30 minutes, and feel no choking or pain. They can return to work the same day.
