Test Process and Preparation
It does not just provide a single IQ score. It creates a detailed profile of the child's mental skills in 4 main areas: Verbal Comprehension, Perceptual Reasoning (visual intelligence), Working Memory, and Processing Speed. In this way, it becomes clear "how" the child learns.
Depending on the child's working speed, their ability to sustain attention, and their age, it is generally completed in a single session lasting between 1.5 and 2 hours.
The child should absolutely not be told that they are going to take an "intelligence test" or an "exam." This creates performance anxiety in the child. The child should be told that they will "play games, solve puzzles, and have a chat with a specialist to see the skills of their age." It should be ensured that the child has a full stomach and has slept well before the test.
