Test Process and Preparation
While the WISC-R test divides the child's intelligence into only two areas as "Verbal" and "Performance" (Practical), the WISC-4 examines intelligence across 4 different skill areas based on much more recent brain research. The WISC-4 is more reliable in measuring the skills of today's children.
In the Verbal section, questions like general knowledge, vocabulary, arithmetic solving, and finding similarities are asked; while in the Performance section, the child is asked to make patterns with blocks, complete missing pictures, and put puzzle pieces together.
It is administered in a quiet and isolated room by experts who have graduated in psychology or psychological counseling and have absolutely obtained a "WISC-R Practitioner Certificate" from authorized institutions such as the Turkish Psychological Association.
